Skate Mom From Hell has a blog

There are many folks on message boards that think this woman is the end-all be-all because she's providing some insight into skating, but I have a different opinion: I think she's way too far up her old-enough-to-vote, left-for-college-already daughters butt. Checking her child's blog? Calling her twice in the span of a few hours? The poor girl couldn't even visit with some friends for an afternoon!

People like Mombo are called Skate Moms From Hell. She's attempting to be cleverly disguised, I'll give her that, but it doesn't take much reading between the lines to see what's really going on. If it looks like a duck and acts like a duck..........

The most realistic Kwan article in a while

Although some fans consider Rosewater to be a "hater", I think there is a lot to be said for being realistic.

I'll go a step further than Rosewater..there is certainly nothing preventing Michelle Kwan from returning to skating, but I'm not sure that's what she wants. I'm not sure school is what she wants either. I see Kwan as a stereotypical Gen X-er who is on the downhill slope to 30 and still doesn't have a plan. If she hadn't needed surgery I think she'd have continued in the same fashion as the previous post-Salt Lake years, competing just enough to get by, while not really committing to anything or putting in much effort.

I'm sure I'll be called a "hater" as well. ;)

Michelle has left the building

Did it really shock anyone to see Michelle Kwan's break from skating announced today?
